WRC RALLY1 PUMA COMES TO IRELAND

  • Motorsport Ireland Rally Academy members will demonstrate and display examples of each step of the FIA rally-car pyramid at Mondello Park on Wednesday April 16th, 2025.

  • Josh McErlean and Eoin Treacy will bring their M-Sport World Rally Team Ford Puma Rally1, a unique opportunity for Irish rally fans to see car and crew up close on home soil.

  • The event will be held in conjunction with the previously announced Motorsport Ireland Rally Academy J1000 Junior Development Day.

The Motorsport Ireland Rally Academy is delighted to present Irish rally fans with an opportunity to observe demonstration laps, and explore static display, of examples of all steps of the current FIA rally car pyramid from J1000 through R2/R2T/Rally5, Rally4, Rally3, Rally2 and Rally1.

Fans are invited to take this unique opportunity to experience a Rally1 car in action on track, and up close in the pit garage. Meet Josh McErlean and Eoin Treacy, along with their M-Sport Ford World Rally Team Puma Rally1, in which they are competing in the 2025 World Rally Championship.

2025 Academy athletes Jon Armstrong/Shane Byrne (ERC), William Creighton/Liam Regan (BRC), Eamonn Kelly/Conor Mohan (JWRC), Craig Rahill/Conor Smith(JERC), Keelan Grogan/Ayrton Sherlock (JERC), Kyle McBride/Daragh Mullen (JBRC), Jack Harris/Aaron O’Regan (MIJRS) and Ryan MacHugh/Declan Boyle, will also be on hand to explain the various car classes, drive demonstration laps, and coach the J1000 crews in attendance on the day.

The objectives of the day are to promote Irish rallying and the role of the Academy to the media and the public, and to provide an opportunity to all registered J1000 crews and their parents, to better understand the progressive FIA rally pyramid, and the career development incentives and opportunities available through the Academy process.

This is also an opportunity to provide a thank you to the personal sponsors and others who directly support our Academy athletes in developing their careers to represent Ireland at world level.

The event, at Mondello Park, Donore, Naas, Co. Kildare, W91 T957, is free to enter, and the public is invited to attend between 10am and 2pm on Wednesday 16th April 2025.
